Our Vision
Our vision at Be The Bush Recovery Indiana is to see men set free from the bondages of addiction and life controlling issues. We want to see them walking in a completely new identity. One where they don’t identify as men in recovery, but RECOVERED!
Be The Bush Indiana is a 12-month, Christ-centered recovery discipleship program modeled after Teen Challenge, helping men find lasting freedom from addiction and life-controlling issues — serving Indianapolis and the entire state of Indiana. We believe that a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, along with a born-again experience, allows the student to walk into a new identity — no longer the same man he was while addicted to drugs and alcohol, but completely set free from any trace of it.
The Bible teaches that if any man is in Christ, he is a new creation. Be The Bush Recovery Ministries is a discipleship program. Our vision is to teach men who God really created them to be, and to see them established as godly men and productive members of society.
The 3 Phases of Freedom
Phase 1: Foundation
Students attend classes three days a week, establishing the discipline, accountability, and spiritual grounding that recovery is built on.
Phase 2: Growth
Classes shift to two days a week, paired with work therapy on alternating days — combining continued teaching with the responsibility and work ethic recovery demands.
Phase 3: Purpose
In the final phase, students choose their path forward:

Re-Entry Program — job placement and savings accumulation to prepare for a strong, stable return to independent living.

Student Leader Program — an internship into the heart of recovery ministry, for those called to give back and lead others through the same process.
